Hi, Gertrude. What material does the class ("Math 208") you're taking cover?

My best generic tip is to go to the book store (or browse Amazon) and find a book that you like the look and feel of and that covers the material you're studying. Perhaps you already have one, but I think that finding the *right* book (meaning the one that you think you can actually learn from) is really important.

Also, besides the Math Dude site (which you've obviously already discovered) you can find a bunch of other great tips and explanations at the "Ask Dr. Math" website. It's at http://mathforum.org/dr/math/

I am currently taking Math 208 and I didn't do any algebra except in the last year of my highschool which was over 30 years ago. Any tips on how to tackle this class being restricted to online only because of my work schedule?
